…don’t ask but some people think this is a perfectly good breakfast!
So today’s the day we head home. It’s been 4 jam-packed days of learning, spiritual discussion and seeing the world through a pair of 18th century bi-focals. Monsey is definitely a blast from the past in year 2010.
A blizzard whipped through the town in the past 24 hrs, leaving at least a foot and a half of snow in its wake. We weren’t sure if we would be able to drive home today, but baruch hashem the snow has stopped and the roads have been cleared. We decided to get a bit more learning in, before hitting the road. We managed to get 2.5 Shiurim in today, before deciding it was time to go. We dug our car out, got a couple of sandwiches from the kosher supermarket (which by the way puts Sobey’s Clark to shame) and made our way to the freeway. If all goes well we’ll be in by 11 pm. We’re already thinking about next year.
Stay tuned for the 7th and final blog where Ely and Amir will recount their exhilarating yeshivah trip to Monsey. Want to know more about our trip? Drop us a line, or come see us at shul on shabbat or during the week.
E&A (or A&E its one and the same)
Rashi comments on 1 of 10 Kal-Vachomers in the Torah in this weeks parasha: If Bnai Israel will not listen to Moshe even more so Pharoh will not listen. What’s the Pshat!?
